# Quote
1 If you can make someone laugh and cry and feel like they can take on the world, ultimately that’s the field of entertainment I want to work in. It’s the human experience. There’s moments for cuddling a small cat and moments for throwing the cat around the room and running around in circles with it.
2 [on ‘conspiracy theories’, including charges that he has allowed other performers to stand in for him] You know, the whole problem with a lot of this stuff and the reason been trying – and I’ve been trying – to deal with it in different ways is that a lot of these things that people have run with were based initially on some kind of truth. And that’s what makes them harder to either completely deny or turn away. But it’s never been anything – what’s the word – ‘malevolent’.
# Fact
1 In the studio working on his third album [November 2004]
2 Working on new album “The Wolf” [May 2003]
3 Met his wife Cherie through their heavy metal voice teacher.
4 As of January 2010, he resides in Midtown Manhattan, New York City.
5 Part owner of Santos Party House in Manhattan, New York City.
6 On January 16, 2004, he was involved in a car accident while filming his new TV show, where he drove his car head-on into two other cars. No one was injured.
7 Broke his right foot during a November 23, 2003 concert in Los Angeles, but continued to play concerts in a wheelchair.
8 While in New York working on his music, he took up jobs washing dishes, selling gumball machines, and parking cars to earn money.
9 Back-up band consists of Jimmy Coup (guitar), Erik Payne (guitar), Frank Werner (guitar), Gregg Roberts (bass) and Donald Tardy (drums).
10 Parents: Wendy and James
11 Has a younger brother, Patrick (born January 28, 1984), two older half-sisters, and he had an older brother who died before Andrew was born.
12 First album, I Get Wet (2002). The cover caused problems with censors because the cover shows W.K. with a badly bloodied nose and the blood oozing down his mouth, chin, and neck. As a result, a black sticker was put on the CD shrink wraps to cover the bloody area.
13 Caused some problems with censors with his second album’s working title, Blow Your Bone. The censors thought it was a sex-orientated title, but he claimed it meant blowing up chicken bones with explosives and that the title doesn’t hint at anything sexual. The title may be changed before its release.
14 Took classical piano when he was younger before switching to drums during his teen years
15 Born in Los Angeles, and was raised in Michigan from age 4 to 18 before relocating to New York City
